Hidden away, in a large lab, at the Applied Science Complex is a High Pressure Gas Atomization system, which makes fine metal powder for various research projects at ISU, Ames Lab, with industrial partners. This is a post run image of the induction system, a copper alloy was atomized, for a project developing lead free solders for reflow application.
