Eu Tiger Stripes
Extruded High Purity Europium(Eu) Metal. Even stored under low oxygen/low moisture glove box conditions the Eu oxidizes. The variations in oxide level is the source of the colors. The tiger stripes are surface variation from the extrusion. This metal was prepared at Ames Laboratory/ISU.
