Rainbow Road
The rainbow like ribbon is melt-spun ribbon of a new AlNiCo magnet formulation. The color is reflections of colors in the area/room from the metal surface. The sample was made in Wilhelm Hall as part of Ames Laboratory's effort to make better, rare earth free magnets.
